Hi chat! Hey so wtf was this week? I genuinely feel like it was a fever dream because HOW did we get through that? I’m sorry…New York Sunday, LA Tuesday, Beyoncé Wednesday, Chicago ALSO WEDNESDAY, back to LA for the weekend.
To say I crashed out Saturday is the understatement of the year because I dropped my dad at the airport and was physically incapable of moving after that. It was like my butt was glued to the couch. But I’m genuinely glad I let myself rest because I was a whole new person come Sunday. She got her steps in! Did all the laundry! Cleaned the apartment top to bottom! I don’t know where this burst of energy came from but I did take two Lemme Focus gummies and I really think it gave me a new lease on life.
I was in a pretty legit flow, until my friend called me to tell me Lil’ Wayne’s (ex) fiancée was popping off about him via IG Stories. The accusations are intense, her daughter is involved and there’s a woman named Lanette from a show called MILF Manor which immediately made me go the 30 Rock route. I don’t have much to say on this just yet, other than I can’t look away because everything has been so outlandish it almost doesn’t feel real. But we will keep our eyes and ears on this one because, I’m not joking, the entire thing feels like we’re watching a TV show not real life.
Conversation Starters
Okay before I dive into today’s Conversation Starters, may I just say that we had one of the craziest Friday/Weekend Dumps I’ve seen in a while?! There was news I wanted to cover from last week in more detail but after this weekend, I got to forge ahead with the most up to date news. If there’s anything you want me to deep dive just leave a comment or DM me!
Taylor Swift was subpoenaed in Blake and Justin’s ‘It Ends With Us’ lawsuit. And her legal team clapped back in the best possible way essentially saying, “actually that’s not true Ellen,” and went on to outline how Taylor was on the biggest tour of all time so no, she wasn’t involved in this film to even the smallest degree.
Taylor and Travis were also spotted for the first time in months in Philly! And once again I have to tell you, if these people didn’t want to be seen they would not be seen. We haven’t seen Tay and Trav since football season and her tour ended, so there is a part of me that feels this was intentional.
Meghan and Harry hit up Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour in LA. I am still on Harry’s sweaty bangs. So many people are gossiping about his hat and whether or not he went to Turkey to get his hair did lol. Meghan did post that this was some hat she had embossed with their kids’ names and that he finally got to wear it, so I don’t know how much truth there is to the Turkey trip but let’s see if he gets that flow coming through shortly.
Love Island UK’s Molly-Mae Hague revealed she and Tommy Fury got back together 9 Months after their breakup. WHAT?! Listen I am not upset about this, I’m more so shocked! Because after watching the first season of her show, I really thought she was done. But they have Bambi and built a whole life together, so yes reconciliation can happen! Wishing nothing but the best for my king and queen of Love Island UK, perolike, Tommy needs to step it up.
Southern Hospitality’s Emmy and Will are engaged. Sure. This will make for an interesting season 4 I guess?
Emma Grede found herself in hot water for saying, “Work-life balance is your problem, not your employer’s responsibility.” Listen I kind of understand what she’s saying, I just think her delivery was wrong. The way I received it was that she feels if you want a corporate culture that focuses on your work-life balance then maybe her company isn’t the place for you because her expectations are different slash higher. I’m so curious for people’s thoughts here.

Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin are the official makeup and beauty sponsor of the WNBA’s New York Liberty team. I need Rihanna and Big Ellie in a social spot A$AP!!!
Weekend Watchlist
Your Weekend Watchlist is live!
MobLand: It’s the way it feels like everybody and their mother has told me to watch this show.
The Four Seasons: Everything an elder millennial wants to watch in a show — rich locations, incredible acting, an honest look at your parents’ marriages lol. I binged it so fast.
Parks & Rec: After falling in love with the kindness of Amy Poehler all over again through her new podcast, ‘Good Hang’ I was left feeling nostalgic for Leslie Knope’s optimism. Parks never disappoints.
The Seat: Did I expect to cry watching Kimi Antonelli’s historic F1 character arch? Absolutely not but this 40 minute documentary in partnership with @whatsapp had other plans.
One Last Thing
Although it’s not in last week’s Weekend Watchlist, I need to desperately put you on to Forever on Netflix. The series is a modern take on Judy Blume’s YA classic book about first loves, first times and everything in between. This show had me crying my eyes out Episode One and it was so healing and wholesome to see a positive take on young love, Black love and to better understand how Black families navigate the world they’re living in. My heart is so full after watching Forever, I need to implore you to check it out because I am certain you won’t be disappointed!
You have my attention about Forever. I added it to my list of must watch shows ❤️. I have a week of staycation coming up in June that will be fully dedicated to binging.
I also watched The Four Seasons last week and loved how it showed 3 different types of long term relationships. It felt so real and touching.
